OK, where do I begin? lol I made the first video, (Purpink Bridge) resigned to taking a copyright hit. But that did not happen, in fact, UA-cam sent me a message saying there were no issues with the video. I had heard for years that you could get away with up to eight seconds of copyright sound without fear of copyright strikes. Last night, I decided to see if it were true. A little background, I had downloaded over 4000 songs off of Napster back in 1999-2002 or so, whenever they went from being a free service to being a pay service. So I had gotten new computers over the years and just transferred the songs from one machine to another each time I got a new computer. In 2005, I put my computer in storage and kinda forgot about it. Around 2022, I could no longer fire it up. Bryan had sent me a hard drive reader thing so I was able to open up the computer CPU and access the hard drive and plug this tool in to retrieve the old files and folders. I have had these songs on my laptop since then and not knowing what to do with them. Last night I just got the idea to mishmash mix some songs and see what I could come up with. Much like my 12+ hour live streams where I don't let a song play all the way through before I am loading the next one (which I think upsets some people lol) Well, like I said, YT had no problem with it so I made another video (this one). Funny thing was, they did find an issue with the music in the first 19 seconds, which they deemed as R.Kelly. I found it frustrating and funny because it was three different and disparate sound files, none of which were R.Kelly. So, I deleted the video and went back to the editing software and took the eight song clips down and shuffled them again and placed them in the order you hear. It really was as simple as that, it literally only took about 5 minutes to arrange the tunes using the mouse to drag drop and over lap the sound clips, also taking pains to make sure there are only about four to five seconds of clear copyright sound before the overlapping cross fading of the next song begins, all in an effort to skirt the YT copyright bot. Anyway, I really appreciate your poem at the top! Funny thing is, I was listening to Bette Midler's "The Rose" right before reading it and I couldn't help but read it in that melody. I have a plan to make more of these shorts/top 100 music videos soon, I love making them and I love the music as well.

Aww!! I love it that my little verse fits the cadence and rhythm of The Rose. What a beautiful song! And notice, too, how both your video and The Rose share a concomitant message. I think that what I've already written has lead you to what I see and I know we're on the same page! If I start free flowing again we'll be here for a week, and I'll be in tears, so I better move on! Hahahaha 😁🤣 I think "purpink" has just become my new favorite word. Haha! There is surely not another soul anywhere in my orbit who would come up with that! People will likely clutch their pearls and stare, but I'm adding it to my daily vocabulary starting today! Hahaha 😎 Very cool to know all of the backstory! Thank you for taking the time to explain it all. Interesting that this goes all the way back to Napster!! Pushing copyright then, pushing copyright now, right? Another full circle, this time 20+ years in the making. And finally, the part that stands out to me AGAIN is that you somehow seem to just create something in 5 minutes that is so intrestingly complex and meaningful... and you don't even realize you're doing it! Maybe that's the gift... the blessing. And I love watching because one never knows when one of these gems will unearth and I don't want to miss a single reveal! Okay... carry on! haha, I told the story but decided to not include it in the video lol. I find that in the editing process, that I am one heck of a talker who doesn't know when to shut up lol, just constant noise coming out of my mouth. There was some coughing in another video I wanted to cut out and replace with some 'dead air' as it were from the same video, I swear I could not find 10 seconds of video where I wasn't talking. So I thought I would spare the Party Peeps another silly story about the East/West thing lol

Ok... so I won't badger you to tell me something that you thought best to hit the cutting room floor! 😄 Constant noise coming out of your mouth.... what a funny way to describe it!! But the fact that you couldn't find even 10 seconds that you weren't yakking is simply hilarious!! 🤣😁
